Mission Statement
This project (White Violence/Black Resistance: The Role of Women at Prairie View A&M University) is focused on uncovering the presence of women in relation to the White Violence/Black Resistance who attended or worked for Prairie View A & M University throughout its development. We are planning to choose 1-3 women from every thirty years that were involved either directly or indirectly with movements related to women’s suffrage, civil rights movement of the 1960’s, New Negro Movement, Sit-in’s, Black Women’s Club Movement and/or the desegregation of schools (e.g., 1930-1960). This project is intended to highlight women who have gone unrecognized in the numerous movements that have been presented as male dominated.

We agree to come to class on a regular basis.
In the event that anyone is unable to attend class, we will make it a personal responsibility to get any and all notes from group mates and or classmates.
Under any and all circumstances, we will get what work we are assigned to do, done and turned in on time.
If anyone is sick and unable to make it to class on the date an assignment is due, we will email our group mates and Dr. Taylor to make other arrangements to get work turned in on time.
If we do not understand a concept or solution, we will not hesitate to ask Dr. Taylor for help.
We will communicate with Dr. Taylor about any concerns we have about our work.
We certify that we have discussed, agreed to and thoroughly read this contract and will abide by it. We are signing this contract of our own free will, and have initialed each of the above statements because we agree with it, and are willing to adhere to each clause. This contract is subject to be amended throughout the duration of the semester.
